Allen County Cardiology cardiologists Dr. Louis Lopez and Dr. Naveen Lal have been practicing in Allen and surrounding counties, in the State of Indiana, for over 20 years. With a commitment to provide exceptional care, both physicians have created an excellent reputation in the community, the referring physicians, and the patients alike. Our physicians are highly committed to providing comprehensive solutions to the various cardiovascular challenges faced by patients and their families in a timely and empathetic fashion.
At Allen County Cardiology, the cardiologists provide a very comprehensive scope of invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Both of the physicians are exceptionally skilled, clinically and procedurally. Both of the physicians are very liked by their patients and have very high ethical and moral standards. They provide inpatient cardiovascular care in all of the five hospitals in town: Lutheran Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, Dupont Hospital, Parkview (Randallia) Hospital, and Parkview Regional Medical Center.
There is marked continuity of care with a patient being able to see the same physician in order to get all of his cardiovascular needs taken care of.
The patient is treated with great dignity, respect, and is not a number in Allen County Cardiology.
Dr. Naveen Lal has been practicing in Fort Wayne and surrounding communities for over 20 years. He specializes in all aspects of general cardiology and interventional cardiology, including pacemaker insertion. He received his cardiology and interventional cardiology training from Texas Heart Institute, Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston,Texas, where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow during his training. Curriculum Vitae/Certificates:
Dr. Louis Lopez was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended Rice University and double majored in English and Biochemistry. Dr. Lopez was also engaged in medical research at Baylor College of Medicine during the summer break of his undergraduate years. He then went on to attend the University of Texas for medical school. While at the University of Texas, he received training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. Following training at the University of Texas, he spent time at multiple other institutions gaining additional expertise in Peripheral Angiography and Intervention studying with the most highly regarded experts in the field.
Dr. Lopez then moved to Fort Wayne and has been in practice for almost 25 years. He has privileges and performs procedures at all five hospitals in town. Throughout his career, he has continued to stay abreast of all the latest procedures.
Dr. Lopez has continued to gain knowledge and expertise in Peripheral and Angiography Intervention. In the State of Indiana, he is regarded as one of the leading experts in the field. He has been a part of almost every major research project in the field of peripheral vascular intervention for the last 10 or 15 years.
Dr. Lopez continues to teach at several of the major conferences each year. He has to limit the amount of time spent teaching at conferences in order to maintain his busy schedule here in Fort Wayne. He is extremely devoted to patient care and one of the most difficult things to do is to take time off of work.
Dr. Lopez’s philosophy in the practice of medicine has always been to provide the highest quality of care to every patient, every time. It is impossible for any physician to please every patient, every time but one would be hard-pressed to find a physician who tries harder. He tries his best to explain medical issues to the patients in simple and understandable language. A clear understanding of one’s medical condition makes that condition less scary. He loves his patients and the practice of medicine. That’s why he treats every single patient as his own family.
Dr. Lopez is married to his lovely wife Jessica, has six children, one grandchild, and one grand-doggy. Four of his children have graduated from college, one is about to start college, and the youngest is 12 years old. In his spare time, which is not much, he enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys exercising and doing yardwork. Work and family have been the two greatest joys of his life.
